Default Venom 80A ESC/Motor Combo

Hello
I just bought this and I have run 4 packs thru it. It is in an SCTE Losi Short Course Truck. Now when I turn it on the fan runs at super high speed and it does not do its self test. The red light just blinks. I have steering.
I tried to hook my card up to but the card got really hot and all the lights just light up.
Is it toast?
Let me know what everyone thinks.
Thanks In advance

Maybe, the motor is way underpowered for that heavy truck. Do you have any temp readings on previous runs?

Temps were around 130. The combo was made especially and marketed for 4x4 short course trucks. My local shop is going to get it replaced for me but I think I am going to try a Castle Sidewinder in the mean time.

130 is OK. There may be a short or broken lead where the rx wires come out of the ESC. If the case is easy to remove you can see for yourself, but do not use any force.
