Default ODD CUTTING OUT OF POWER PROBLEM IN 4X4 SC

i have an ae sc10 4x4 with a mamba max pro,1410 motor,castle 10 amp bec,spektrum 6030 servo running on crc 2s 40c lipo,silverback 40c/80c lipo.

a few weeks back i was using the rtr associated esc with the 1410 and after jumps the truck would loose all power. cycle the switch and everything was fine.

i thought the esc was bad so i replaced with a new mmp. i put that in with a 10 amp bec to avoid brown outs. ran it for the 1st time at a big race and i lost power again but this time i had steering still and then power would come back on by itself.

i cut off on/off switch as i heard these are troublesome. went back out and it did it again but now it was more like serious cogging.

went back to pits and changed out the receiver and for the rest of the weekend had no problems concerning lost of power.( i did have a serious delay in throtle response but a castle tech at the track fixed that for me)

tonight i go racing and mind you, new esc,bec and now a new rec.... i went out for practice and the problem happened again. its like the power would momentarily cut out. this time i was using a lower C lipo (30c 5000) and thought that was the problem so i used a higher C rating pack (40c 5300) for the 1st round and no problem. 2nd heat higher c lipo and no problem. (40c 5200). main came around and used another higher lipo c pack (40c 5300) and it happened again but to a lesser degree.

i have no idea what could be doing this and iam getting super frustrated. sometimes it happens ,sometimes it dont. sometimes it happens worse then other times.

any help would be great as i have just been pouring money into it trying to figure it out. only thing i havent changed is the motor and radio as money is now getting low and that coupled with the sporadic problem just has me not wanting to spend money on it.

please help.

thanks.

Have you temp'd your ESC and motor immediately after this happens?

yea esc is 125 and motor is 140-160.

i was talking to another racer who said the internal capacitors suck on the mmp. i dont know if i should put an external cap in line at the battery connection side of the esc or what ?

i think what i will do is call castle.

That's probably the best course of action at this point.

Check your solder joints.

I'm having a similar problem with a brand new mmp I just installed. It'll run for a while then seemingly power down then re-arm itself. I've had a few mmp's before so I already new my other electronics weren't going to play nice with it's bec so I installed an external BEC from the get go. I've gone back through my solder joints and everything looked good but I reflowed every joint anyway. Currently waiting on a reply from castle.

I had a similar experience. I used another set of lipos, hardwired the esc switch, and installed a new esc fan. problem solved. Just not sure exactly what solved the issue.
