Default Testing a brushless motor without an esc

Any way to do this? I got a 3.5t motor off ebay for a steal, but it will be at least a week before i can order my 120a esc. I am just switching to brushless and on a very tight budget. thanks

Any local clubs around? Someone there surely would be happy to test it for you.

You can use a digital volt meter and measure each of the three legs to each other .A to b , b to c , a to c and they should all measure out almost the same resistance . Then measure each one to the can and you should not get a reading.
