That it does not. You get the flow BEC, but the profiles are from the SXX stock/comp V2s. The Flow profiles are completely different
Here's some more info from LRP. http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/new-pr...egler/details/ That said, goodbye sad old SXX. Hello hot new FLOW! |
Tower has the Works Team Flow listed for $199 with free shipping

Hi,
Can I use the power capacitor. LRP 82531 - SXX Power capacitor WorkTeam 6.0-7.4V . On the new Flow Esc. Is it LRP-Challenge legal in Germany for Sock Racing. greeting Stefan Köhler North |

Yeah, good point about the profiles. It does include a faster processor than the old board, for whatever that's worth. I'm curious, though, if it's ROAR legal with this upgrade. I didn't see it on the list last I checked.

Any idea when the LRP Flow Competition (80960) might be available?
Tower has the LRP Flow Works (80970) listed for early November. Thanks, Josh I've had good fast deliveries from them. 80960- http://www.rcmart.com/flow-competiti...0-p-35532.html 80970- http://www.rcmart.com/flow-worksteam...Path=1560_1021 |
Tower has it pushed out to mid-Nov now.
I ordered mine from rcMart and have it installed in my car and ready for use tonight. On the bench, at least, I'm really impressed with it so far. The new solder tabs are a winner. That's a very excellent solution without going to posts which apparently introduce a lot of resistance according to LRP. I will say, though, that LRP is getting spanked by their competition when it comes to build quality. The aluminum portion of the case including the heat sink are pretty cheap looking. Companies like Orca and Hobbywing are media blasting (or something) their aluminum where LRP is just the plain old machined aluminum. Also, the packaging is terrible, and in fact one of my heat sink fins was slightly bent because the ESC was crammed into a box that's too small. I realize these things don't matter on the track, but a lot of people care about presentation, and that's one area where LRP is falling behind. Have a look at your main competitors and see how they're stepping up their game, and making you feel a bit better about dropping $200+ on yet another ESC. |
Ran the Flow last night in 13.5 blinky sedan. It's flawless. Everything you've come to expect from LRP's perfect feel, brakes, etc. It finally feels like an ESC I can install and forget about. No programming boxes, brake or throttle frequencies and other distractions. Just pure, smooth power and great brakes.
