Having a problem and thought it was from a spill but apparently it happened to a few others. My switch sometimes doesn't work and when it does it'll cut on and off real fast. I thought about eliminating the switch but one day tried to turn it on while not plugged into the RX and it wouldn't power up. Plugged it back in to the Rx and powered on no problem.
Now I am thinking that its a bad capacitor, can anyone confirm that?
If it works like in a AC system there is a capacitor to start the system and one to run the system. While running it today I found it to get warm to touch and never has before. I'm thinking the reason for not turning on without being in the RX is that there's no "transformer" so to speak to step down the voltage, therefore being the reason for it getting warm since its running straight off the battery

First race with the VRITRA VX Competition in 17.5 Stock TC Sedan. I have to admit it's the smoothest esc I've used. The overall feel is superb and easily changed with the Program Card to suit personnal feel/track needs. Both in and outdoor use resulted in slightly lower motor temps, to include less overall battery voltage draw during the course of a race. Brakes were relatively mild, but Program Card adjustment provided good improvements. Great ESC!!!

I checked the capacitor and its fine. Originally I thought it was a bad RX but switched it out and still did it. I'm using Spektrum and savor and brown outs are a known problem but for the servo, not the ESC.
THe ESC works fine, I definitely think its the switch since I heard someone had the same problem and he sent his back, I'm going to try a new switch first because I like to have the switch before I eliminate it

I'm selling an orange one if someone is looking to jump on the Orca bandwagon. Great electronics, I've just decided to stick with blue.

you can try to force re install of the USB driver

after extract the .rar files
go to the extracted folder --> program files --> ORCA --> Driver
run ORCA USB_LINK driver Installer.exe

It will ask you to plug in the USB adaptor

you can also try a different USB port, sometime this help

also note that the program don't really see the USB link, it need to have something (program card, ESC) plug in on the other end.

You can try to reset the ESC:

in the program box, under advance setting.
select load default,
then send to ESC,
unplug from batteries for 30 sec
it should now reset.

I ran my Orca for the first time in mod. Very smooth and the stock settings put me very close to where I need to be. Very nice looking and small footprint esc.

Thank you EAMotorsports for giving me such a great deal. I will be ringing you up for a 17.5 when the indoor season starts.
