Default Tekin Blinky Mode problem

I have tried to find a thread similar to this here on tech with no luck, and I have also tried to get on the Tekin website, but the website appears to be down. I have three Tekins, 2 RS, and 1 RS Pro. I haven't done any changes to them for a long time. I do have the hot wire. I can't seem to get my newest RS on stock blinky mode. I move the pointers to 0 timing and 0 boost and save the settings, and it confirms that the settings have been saved. When I disconnect the hotwire, hook up the ESC wire to the receiver and insert a battery to test it, it does not go into stock blinky and on the timing tab shows it back to 80 timing, even though it shows on the dashboard 0 for timing and 0 for boost, and still shows Turbo Delay 0.50 and Turbo Ramp 1.0. It has the Vegas 212 software on it. How can I get this thing to accept the stock settings without timing? I didn't have trouble with the other two, but it has been a long time since I've done anything with them, so maybe I am forgetting a crucial step.

Also, is there any kind of online manual that explains the different settings, for instance, why would you want to change the start rpm, and also, what is Push Control under the Brake Tab. I know if you hover over the settings it will tell you what they do, but it doesn't stay up long and I'd like to be able to have a printed copy to refer to. I've just never tried to do anything with them before and now I am wanting to see what difference it makes changing a few of the settings I haven't used before. I am wondering if the TeamTekin.com website may have a manual, but will have to wait til they are back up.

Thanks for any tips you can help me with.

I don't believe the tekin will blink unless its in the Blinky mode profile which is number 1..C1 and C2 along with all other presets will not blink...as far as push control, its the opposite of drag brake, instead of letting off and going to neutral, or with drag brake and it applying brake, it still applies some throttle... I've never really seen someone recommend push control...

Thanks, Trickedout. It didn't work. I went in and changed it to C2 and when I tried to apply the settings, it gave me the menu that said do you want to save the settings to the speed control? I clicked ok. And instead of saying the settings have been saved to the speed control, it just said "settings saved". I tried it three times. Don't know what's going on. I did earlier click on update, so maybe that messed it up.

I'm not gonna bother with it anymore, I'll just run it this way and just use this ESC for play instead of racing. I don't have a lot of time to mess with it, and when I downloaded the original software, there were problems getting it to load onto my computer. Randy Pike helped me load it and he even had trouble with it, so I don't have the time to reload the software it that's what it needs right now. I thank you for your great help though because I had forgotten where it was on the menu - layered under Setup, then Throttle. I was not going deep enough. Like I said, I've only used it once or twice so wasn't very familiar with it. Once I get more time, I will get more familiar and hopefully do more with it, but I don't have a laptop, so once I'm at the track, I'm stuck.

Thanks again.

No prob. What exactly "didn't work"? Ive had issues sometimes getting the software to work correctly with the esc on my laptop..It can be very touchy sometimes as you have figured out. If you are just wanting to run Blinky stock mode but adjust some of the other settings like forward/brake/rev modes and brake control and stuff it should save and those general settings will save for EVERY throttle profile...Example you can have say profile 1(Blinky) be just Forward/Brake and no reverse and say 50% brake power...and then have profile 2 running forward with brake and reverse and 100% brake power...THAT will NOT work, those settings are saved over every profile including the C1,C2 custom profiles..

If you are just wanting to run Blinky mode and have troubles selecting it with the Hotwire, theres still the buttons and LED lights on the esc to select things such as profiles. I beleive once you have the esc on, if you tap the Left button i beleive its "mode" tap it 5 times until you see 5 LED lights and it will be at TP. hit the right button which is selet. then tap it until only the first LED on the left is light and that is profile 1 which is stock. then just wait a few seconds lights will blink and then it will switch to blinky mode where 2 middle lights will stay blinking while at neutral. Hope all this helps and if you knew all that then sorry for the old story. HaHa

Thanks, Trickedout. I will give that a try and let you know if it worked. But I may not get to it for a couple of days now. Thank you so much. I had heard somewhere down the line that you could go to stock blinky through the front panel, but didn't know how. Once the Tekin website is back on line, I am hoping to find some sort of tip sheet to help with explaining and selecting programming for the ESC. I don't even know if they have one though. Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.

Trickedout is right, C1 & C2 are the customizable profiles, for blinky you use Profile 1(oh, & Tekin's site appears to be back online, FYI)....
