Default Radio glitching problems... Help!

I am running a RC8BE with a Tekin RX8 system. My radio is an older Airtronics MX-3 (fm). Currently I am only getting 50' of transmitting distance before I lose total control. At first I thought it may be a receiver issue so I pulled the Airtronics and put in my Novak with no change. Back in the day when running brushed motors I used to solder on capacitors etc to reduce this. Do I need to switch to a 2.4g transmitter? Thanks!

Could it be a problem with my ECS sending a bad signal to the receiver? It is pretty new and has only been used a few times...

Modern ESCs some times have some wicked noise associated with them.
Even some new digital servos are noisy.

You can try:
Capacitors on the receiver.
Ferrite choke dough nuts on the ESC & Servo wires. (pulled from old PC Motherboards)
Route every receiver related wire away from the motor & ESC.

Quite frankly I fought similar demons about 3 years ago,
I jumped to Airtronics FHSS-2 & never looked back.

Airtronics, Futaba & KoPopro all make some great stuff.

Thanks! So I went to the LHS's to ask questions and one guy at HobbyTownUSA seemed to be in the know on this. Apparently high voltage digital servos are drawing to much for the ECS. Apparently it has been more of a concern for the rock crawling crowd since they run big steering servos. Anyway, the fix is to add a separate BEC and bypass the Tekin. The one he sold me was only $9 and it has a ferrite choke on it. LOL Anyway, I am going to check with Tekin's manual just to be sure there aren't any tweaks I can do to increase the output voltage to the servo. If not Ill give the BEC a try...

Well I installed it, it helped a little but still not how it should be. I might try a new radio here in the near future.

The Tekin has a fairly good BEC output.
The other possibility is the transmitter has gone out of tune, or bad crystal.

Since I switched the crystals when I switched receivers it wouldn't be that one, but maybe the crystal in the radio it self. Hmmm I'll try it. As for tuning the transmitter I'll have to research that one

So I went to Airtronics website to look for a manual download. THEY ARE CHARGING FOR USER MANUALS! WTF Airtronics! Fail on customer support! Not sure if I'll buy another radio from them if they are going to capitalize like that! Sorry for the rant... I am just tired of companies making everything cost money and providing no customer service. Haaaa.

I am also going to try leaving my street and heading over to a parking lot to make sure I am not in an area with lots of RF signals interfering with mine...

O.o Thank you!!!!

Swapped out the crystal in the transmitter for one of my other receiver crystals and it was glitching at like 2 feet. Maybe its the radio...

Just received my FLYSKY RC FS-GT3C in the mail. Installed it, and no more glitching issues. Maybe the MX3 is out of tune or my crystal sets are bad who knows. So instead of dumping money into it I just tried a new radio. Turned out to be a good call.
