Default how to setup the m8 with a castle esc help needed

i just picked up a M8 Airtronics radio with the Spektrum 2.4 modual. I can't get the Mamba Max Pro in my SC trucks to calibrate properly, it seems the trigger has to be pulled about 3/8ths of an inch to aquire a neutral position for the esc to pick up. I have played with the epa in countless combinations and I'm stuck with good forward, limited reverse and zero braking. I was on the phone with Castle for an hour a couple days ago and they helped but did not completly 'hook me up' good enough to use this radio on the track.

I set the dead band to the largest setting with the castle link on the laptop, played with settings all over the place.

Mamba Max Pro
LRP 10.5 vector brushless motor-new sensor cable

any ideas would be awesome and I'll try any suggestions you can come up with.
Thanks, Turners Dad

What are your reverse and brake settings configured at in the ESC ?

Should be no different to any other radio

Centre throttle trim
Set throttle / brake EPA's at 100%
Calibrate to transmitter

Cheers

i've got the throttal and brake epa both maxxed out, the subtrim is also set at 15, i still have to pull slightly on the trigger to get the esc to 'set up' when it is first turned on.

yesterday my sons truck shot across the track in reverse when he relaxed his trigger finger for a moment (not cool).

it acts like the pot switch is rotated out of place to favor reveres/brake position

Im not familiar with the M8 but I had a similar problem with a Sidewinder SV2 and a Spektrum DX3R just yesterday. The DX3R has a brake strength setting I was not aware of. I bought the radio used and didnt reset all the models before using it. Took me a while to figure that out, but after I did it solved the calibration issue.
