Just wondering what is the advantage of using 70:30 setting in your tx? I had it set an had trouble setting servos. Once I put it on 50:50 I was able to set up my servos and throttle a lot easier.

As far as I remember 70/30 started with mechanical speed controls that had more throttle travel than reverse/brake. 70/30 provides more throttle travel and thus perhaps finer control, at the expense of less for brake. If your radio offers both, I think it’s mostly preference, especially with radios that have independent EPA/travel adjustments. But if one works better in your situation use it, don’t see how it could hurt anything.

Changing the trigger throw should have nothing to do with your steering channel

You need to re-calibrate your transmitter to your ESC if you change it

setting up servos and throttle with the radio should be done with radio left alone(factory settings) on adjustments until you have the steering/throttle working. only after they are set should you "fine tune" these with the radio. only diff is setting up the speed control which is done the same way but follow the speedo instructions. once done, it is very important to set the epa on steering and throttle if gas. messing with features that you don't know anything or understand what it does can be bad and only make things harder for you..ask someone at your local track to give you a hand, then they will also explain what thing do if you choose to mess with a setting..
