Thumbs up Need some advice on modding transmitter

Hey Everyone,

I've got a Spectrum DX2S, and the through of the steering wheel is only about 75 degrees lock to lock.
I've always wanted more travel for more precise control. Just now when installing a stiffer spring on the steering, I checked the pot and it has about 210 degrees of travel, but the spring mechanism will only allow about another 10-15 degrees left and right.
My question is, can I increase the travel of the steering wheel to utilize more of the pot and thus get a little more fine control?
I can shave some of the plastic stop under the wheel to get the travel. And use the programming to compensate for the extra through.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
Brian

Thank You

Wouldn't a bigger wheel give me more of a finer control?
