I can't decide...Futaba 4PL or 3PMX?

Smoothness is highly subjective and at best very difficult to quantify.
I find both the smoothness and range of my Spektrum quite adequate for racing a 1/12 scale on a tight technical track and just as adept tossing my 1/8 scale e-buggy around a blown out track.
I do use Futabas as well but the 3PKS weighs a ton and startes to hurt my wrist during a 20 minute main. My 4PL is much lighter and I have nor noticed any less performance from it.
I must admit that I could never tell if one system is faster in response than another since my reflexes are so much slower than the slowest radio. Maybe that's why I always look where my car is going rather than react to where it's at.

If you if you are young or female or have small hands the 3pmx might be a little big for you to be comfortable with the grip and stretching for the trigger. Otherwise it's a very nice radio.
