Constant servo buzz...
#1
Losi XXX SCT RTR - ran a few packs through it with the boys in the yard, and the servo quit, died dead dead.
Just swapped out the RTR servo with a cheap Solar servo from hobbypartz. Its working, but has a constant buzz when no steering is applied. Tried fiddling with the trip and max endpoints, doesnt make a difference.
The only time the buzz stops when the esc switch is on, is if i turn the transmitter off...
Where should I look / address? I'm thinking its not the servo, but also that it killed the first servo, and will kill the second solar if I dont address the issue.
Thanks

Some servos are naturally noisy. This may be the case. However, if you're so inclined, remove the servo and check you steering assembly for any binding or tightness. It should go through it's turning range smoothly and somewhat effortlessly.

I dont think its anything to do with the steering assembly, but I am not well versed in R/C stuff.
I somehow I think it maybe related to the craptastic rtr speed control. I'm going to take out the servo again, have it not installed, and see if it buzzes when on but not actually attached to any steering linkage.
It seems harder then I'd expect for a n00b to line up the servo mounts get it in and centered and all linked up correctly.

If it doesn't buzz when nothing is attached to the servo arem then you have something in the steering assembly pushing the servo.
If it buzzes when nothing is attached then ignore the noise.
