Default Lipo balancer

I plan on getting back in to RC after a 4 year hiatus.

So I have an Intellipeak ICE charger I picked up 4-5 years ago, it can apparently charge Lipo batteries. What's my best bet on balancing the Lipos? Should I just break down and get a new charger or stick with the ICE but get a separate balancer?

Ice is still a good charger, just doesn't have the built in balancing. I would say if you want to save some money just use the ICE and get yourself a balancer! If money is no object then go ahead and buy yourself a newer charger with built in balancing. I am still using an ICE and Team Checkpoint charger which is the twin brother to the ICE with Backlight and Higher charge/discharge abilities!

Thanks, appreciated it. Can you recommend a good balancer?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3in1-RC-2s-6...item3f16ce17d1 This is what I use, got one for under twenty bucks and have never had a single problem with it, it displays the voltage for each cell in thepack while you charge and can balance while you charge. Gives you a clear look at your cells voltages while you charge so you know whats going on. The ports on the side are for 2s, 3s, 4s cell arrangements, all the packs I have use the required plug type so its no problem but you may need an adapter depending on the brand of batteries you use. Right now I have SMC, and Racers Edge packs!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll look in to both of those. Anyone else have a suggestion?
