Default making a hard case

So I ran my first race yesterday and need some advice. They like lipos to be in a hard case,my lipos are not. Ima try and make my own hard case but not sure what thickness I need. I was planning on getting some lexan sheets and just make a box to slip my lipo into.mayb shrink wrap the box afterwards. The lipo has wires directly soldered to the cell.

any tips or links on how to make my box
first post here so hello

making it with lexan?! maybe it is not as strong as typical ones which was made with ABS but your idea might work.

it would however be much simpler if you simply get a new battery in hardcase instead.

I was going to get a new lipo but thought i'd try and make a slip case first to save a lil money. $70 for 2 new lipos or $15 for lexan. I want it to b clear and mayb try and vacuum form something. Its mostly for looks

Is it a track rule that all lipos are hard cased and if so do they stick to ROAR rules? If they do then your homemade case won't qualify.

Its more preferred then a rule. Just rules the drivers come up with as they think of them. They like a hard case bc the drivers arent very considerate of others. Instead of passing they just ram into u. More of a rule for touring cars. Most slash guys have "soft" packs. I drive slash.
