Question about the Mamba Max Pro bec
#1
Alright so I have a mmp esc and was setting it up to a new radio, trimmed up my Futaba ss3305 servo which was working fine before and put it in followed by the horn. The wheels were perfectly straight. So I set up my esc and whatnot then plugged in the servo. The wheels went full lock left and my trim was at 0. Alright trimmed it to the right at 30 but still full lock left. It was also humming. Assuming the bec was set too high, I hooked up my castle link and it showed the bec at 5.5v. Was it just a freak thing or did the bec fail? I have an external 10a bec I'm going to install when I get a new servo. I opened up the servo and nothing looked melted except the connector to the servo wire looked bronzed over. I guess my question would be is this an indication of the bec failing?

If your ESC's BEC passed through enough voltage to fry your servo, it would likely have taken your receiver with it. If your receiver is fine, I'd put this down most likely to being a very freak servo failure.

Thanks for the reply, will try out a crappy servo that still works tonight to make sure it isn't the esc. Don't want to use my bec on it.
