Default motor and esc question

i have a LRP SXX COMPETITION V1 esc its motor limit is OVER 4.5 when running on 6 cells (which im guessing means 6cell nimh battery running at 7.2v or 2s lipo running at 7.4v). i bought a NOVAK BALLSTIC 4.5T 550sized motor. now according to there website it has 5000rpm/volt. this means that is equal to an 8.5t 540sized motor. these both run at 37000rpm on a 2s lipo.

my question is sence this 4.5t 550 motor is the same as a 8.5t 540 motor do i still have to switch to a esc that can handle a 4.5t motor or will this lrp esc that is rated for OVER 4.5t still work with no issues?

I would not run that with a 550 size motor.
I don't see how a 4.5 550 motor is remotely equal to a 8.5 540 size motor.

when u look at the rpms/volt rateing of a 4.5 550 it is the same as a 8.5 540. atleast according to novaks website.

so i shouldnt run the sxx competiton esc with a novak 4.5 550 motor?

550 motors draw ALOT more amps than an equal KV 540 motor. i wouldnt recommend it either.
