Default Harness for Batteries in Series

Hi I am going to use 2 x 2S 7.4V Li-Po batteries for my 1/8 Buggy. Can I wire the batteries as per the picture below?

Thanks

EDIT: Thanks dtr, appreciate the reply

Yes, that is how most people do it. Just make sure the two packs are charged equally.

Default batteries in series question

first of all can you tell me how to calculate weather i have too much battery for my system. i am running a rc8be. i have rx8 speed controller, with a 2050kv motor. brand new just bought it. then i have (1) 20c/ 5000 / 11.1 v lipo battery. i want to get another battery exactly the same. can i do this.

also, if you put two batteries in series. do they have to be equal everything, except name?
thanks as always
