hitec servos
i have 2 hitec servos with broken screws where the servo horn attaches with a screw. is there anyway to fix them? any help is greatly appriciated.
thank you, darryl80 |
please help me these are the only 2 servos i have and i need them.
|
Where exactly is the screw broken? Can you take the horn off? I f es, is the break inside, flush with the spline or is a part of the screw still outside?
|
part of the broken screw is sticking out but i cant get hold of it with anything.
|
Did you put threadlock on it? What kind?
|
i didnt put any thread lock on it. i dont put thread lock on any of my screws.

OK, you can try an ez-out but that wont't be easy. You could try drilling it out but you'll need to be very precise or you will ruin the threads. Best bet is to buy the replacement gear set and change out the one with the broken screw. |
Or just send em back to Hitec and They will take care of you free of charge.

I sent a malfunctioning servo to them and they sent me a quote of $79 to repair it saying the motor was used up. Still it's worth the postage to see if they will fix it for free. |
i will just put them aside and try and find the gears i need and fix it myself.
