I'm still in the process of building my cup racer, but want to plan out the electronics while I can.
Bit of a background, i've not run electric before. Its only been usually nitro (7 years ago) and an older Tamiya Super champ (20-25 years ago).
I'm looking for suggestions on a motor, esc, battery pack. I "may" race, but not too sure, so would like to get something that would be legal. I'd like to keep motor + esc to about $100. Then suggestions for a battery pack? $50-60?
Definitely want brushless.
Then move onto the radio. I'd like to get something that has bind, rather than crystals. I have 3 other cars - Tamiya Super champ (have to rebuild original), Tamiya buggy racer (re-released), HPI Nitro Mini (have to rebuild).
This way, I can have 1 radio and use it on all 4 cars. I do have 2ch futaba's on the others, but while I am buying new, i might as well get something that can be expanded in the future. Been reading up on airtronics tx/rx. Suggestions?
Thanks
