So, I'm thinking of buying a 1/5 short course truck to convert to electric but I'm curious what my options are for a 1/5 ESC? I know there's the Castle and possibly HobbyWing. Are there any others?

I'd prefer to stay away from Castle but I'd assume I'd want an ESC that would support 8s and maybe even 10s.

Hobbywing dont do any larger than 150 amp

Unless you are planning on spending serious cash Castle is more than likely your only option

Yeah, I see some people using the HobbyKing and Hobbywing 150A ESC's with big motors so I'm contemplating that.

Reckon a 150A ESC on 6s would be OK or would I be pushing it?

Cant imagine any 150 amp ESC will push a 1/5 scale car

Mamba Monster Extreme would probably be ok on 6s if the car wasnt too heavy
