Installing new a sidewinder sv2 esc with problems

Hello everyone and how are you. This is my first post so please don't bash me to hard. I've searched the forums but can not find a solution or a problem similar to mine. I just received my brand new sidewinder sv2 esc (replacement, first one was defective) and tried to install it and then manually program the thing. At first everything was working right, I attempted to enter the programming mode a few times and I ended up just setting my transmitter. Well, I tried again to enter the mode and no beeps or anything of that nature happens. It now just shows all three lights faintly whenever I turn it on wether I'm engaging the controller or not. Thought maybe it was the battery so I tried a different one, removed transmitter and remote but nothing changed the results. I haven't ran the esc or even gotten it hot yet. Would anyone know how to reset the esc without the castle link or maybe something I can do to make it work. I have already tried my wiring system on an older esc with no problems so I know it's within the sv2. If that is true, I may consider getting a full refund and switch to another brand that someone recommends. Thanks in advance for reading and to any who reply back to my post.

A couple questions first.
1. Is the receiver bound too the transmitter
2. Is the throttle trim set at close too zero on the transmitter?
2. Is the SV2 plugged into the throttle channel of the receiver correctly with the brown (-) wire towards the outside of the receiver
3. Have you read the manual and followed the steps? http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...s_ed_guide.pdf
It should go into programming mode as soon as you flip the switch
4. What kind of motor are you using ( brushed or brushless)?
5. Is your battery fully charged ?

1.Yes, Receiver is bound to transmitter. I have the flysky gt3b so I tested the esc with a different receiver module off my sct.
2. Trim is set to neutral position and esc is plugged in correctly in ch 2.
3. I've went to the website and as read the drivers Ed guide included inside the box. When I flip the unit on, it doesnt seem to power up correctly. Instead've blinking and beeping, it just lights all three colors with a faint lightly. Servo still moves quickly but esc just sits there. From off to on by flipping the switch just leaves me at a three low lighted state.
4. It was a combo package, 6900kv 1406 series CC
5. Batteries are full.
It was working perfectly until I tried to enter progress manual program mode to set brakes, punch mode and etc. As I was doing that, I failed to enter the mode and keep getting the throttle syncing. Synced the device for like the fourth time and turned it back off to try again. I flipped the switch to nothing but these three low lights. Thinking wtf, I turned it off and back on without holding throttle and three low lighted lights still appear(no beeps or anything). Turn off and back on holding throttle, the same result occurred. No beeping or flashes, just all three lights on with what looks like very low powering.

I have the exact same problem with my HPI Vapor ESC (I think it's basically the same ESC, rebranded) Tried to hook it up to Castle Link and it doesnt seems to work either...I sent an Email yesterday to HPI but no answer yet! It happened to me when I turn on the lipo cutoff, I was able to run it right after the reprogramming, but when I changed the battery, didnt wanted to power up after....tried different batteries as well...

Sorry if this double posts. I tried to post this earlier, and it never appeared, so I reposted it.
I've been a lurker for quite some time, but decided to join today. All of my RC buddies tell me this is the forum to be on because this is where the experienced folks hangout.
I, too, am having problems programming my Sidewinder Sv2. I have a Spektrum DX3C radio. I hold the throttle to full, turn the ESC on, it rings its sweet little song, then starts beeping, and the lights flash. No matter how many times I have tried the procedure, all I get is a constant beep, and all lights flash. Could this be an issue with the ESC?

I bought an SV2 a while ago and could not get it to program for a brushed motor at all. So I called castle and explained the problem and the tech mentioned that some need to be programmed by the Castle Link. I told him I didn't have one and they sent me one for free, no cable or anything but I have plenty of USB cables. That was cool of them.

You really can't own any modern ESC without the PC interface. Get the Castle Field Link, it doubles as a Castle Link to connect to your PC and it can also change all of the settings that the TX programming can do like punch, battery cutoff, brake, etc...
Castle just released v3.51.05 and in the notes it cautions you not to run Sidewinders without the lastest firmware installed in the ESC.
"NOTE: It is HIGHLY recommended that all users upgrade their Sidewinder V2 and Sidewinder SCT units to V1.33 for reliability improvements.
Functional Improvement: Sidewinder V2 / SCT improved motor start routine. Certain lower-torque motors may require changing motor start power to start correctly.
Functional Improvement: Torque control values have been changed to allow lower torque limits. (Increase your old setting by 2 for same torque limit)
Bug fix: Sidewinder V2 / SCT could power-up in a non-functional state
Reliability Improvement: ESC could damage itself trying to start a motor with a stuck rotor. Added failed start timeout.
Reliability Improvement: Added further protection agains flash corruption which can cause ESC to become unresponsive."
I'm going to try it tonight with my son's SV2 / 6900 set up.

That's why I buy Castle, I have had nothing but good experiences the few times I've dealt with them.
