Default direct connect battery to servo

rookie question: how do you directly connect the lipo battery to the servo? sorry, not near my car now. i'm guessing I need a servo extension?

Assuming a 2S lipo only, just pull the red-positive servo wire and connect to the lipo is probably the most straight forward way. A short servo extension is a nice no fuss easily reversible method to do it, as long as you don't mind the extra wiring.

Way back when I ran KO FET servos that required main battery power, I opened up the ESC switch and attached it to the switched side. Then everything was switched on and off together. But with some of the modern power hungry servos I'm not sure if the little ESC switch is up to the task anymore.
