Default All electronics cutting in and out

I've got an annoying issue with my SC10 4x4. While driving it seems to be cutting in and out completely. The electronics in the truck are MMP, Tekin 4.5 motor with sensored cable, Spektrum DX3S with SR300 reciever and Spektrum servo. I originally thought it might be the sensored cable so I replaced it but it's still happening. I did notice this weekend that when it happens I also lose steering. It only last for a second, then everything starts working again. It happens multiple times during a battery pack. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Your receiver could be browning out. You can try adding a Receiver pack / Battery pack to the Receiver or if you have a Glitch buster you could try that.

Could be your receiver glitching. Try a different one.

I had the same problem. It's very, very common with the MMP and seemingly more so with a Spektrum receiver. Do a google search for 'mamba max pro' + 'glitching' or 'brown out' and you will find that you are not the only one.

Castle claims that the BEC circuit in the MMP is the same as the Mamba Monster, but that doesn't jive with my experience.

I tried the power capacitor plugged into the receiver and it wasn't good enough for my setup. I have a MMP + Neu Castle 4-pole + Spektrum SR300 + Savox SC-1258tg and it browned out like crazy.

I ended up getting an external 10A Castle BEC for $25 and stopped using the MMP onboard BEC. Problem solved.

I'm using a MMP with a 1406 5700 4 pole, Hitec 5645MG, Futaba 603FS in a SC10 with no problems, also with a Tekin 4600Pro, 603, JR 8717 in a SCTE with no problems....

This issue seems to be more related to Spektrum receivers.

That's what it looks like, however I did experience brownouts with MMPs and older FM receivers....

... with certain power hungry servos and ESCs with weaker BECs. It's usually the same combinations.

Thanks for the help guys!

Would one of the Racersedge Glitch Busters work, or should I stick with one from Novak or Castle?

I Made my own from a Novak cap that the LHS had lying around. Deffently fixed the issue i had with my Tekin / Savox / Spektrum setup in my 22T.

But any brand of glitch buster type cap should work fine.

I will reiterate that the glitch alone buster didn't work for me. Hopefully it works for you, but I would recommend that you just put that $5 towards the $25 external BEC.
