Default Velineon Power Button

So I work for a LHS and I have a customer who has purchased 2 Traxxas vehicles in the last 6 mo, (his most recent a bandit purchased Sat.)

With BOTH vehicles, the Power button on his Velineon seems to stick and won't allow it to go through the setup process. To get the button to work, we need to use pliers to pull the button out. When the button is pushed to try and run the setup process, it locks into place. 2 different cars, same problem. The first one was a Slash.

IMO it appears to be hanging on the case, and that simply widening the hole would allow the button to pass smoothly and work properly. However, it appears that trying to remove the electronics from the case could void any kind of warranty.

Anyone else have any experiences like this? I'll Call Traxxas in the morning, but I hate to have a customer with a 2nd bad experience. I don't want to have to send another Velineon back.

Any thoughts?

Pliers probably voids warranty also lol. Call traxxas yep this is common. The tight fit between the hole in the case and the little pill shaped button with 2 orings on it sucks. 1 of three fixes
1 send to traxxas
2 buy mmp
3 you can drill it out (this is not real easy to do but is easy to do wrong )

Add a touch of light oil?
The Castle or Tekin options are my personal favorites...

I used to like VXL's, but I wont mess with em anymore. The last two I owned failed. One the button stuck and wouldnt allow me to power it up or if I was able it wouldnt pop out to get into a running mode. The second one just tweeked and lost reverse. Went through the steps and trouble shooting. The ESC acknoleged reverse, but would actually go in reverse. So two in a row fail. No thanks! And outta warrenty, so no help there. Not payin $55 for the third to quit working.
And you cannot remove the inners. Its completely incased in epoxy. Like they put the ESC itself in the case and filled it with epoxy. It will never come out. I tried bearing oil, compresed air, toothbrush. Buy a better ESC. Throw it away and buy a EZRun 60A or a bit more for a MMP as mentioned
