Default LiPo charging question

I am running 5000mah packs and have read in several places that I should only be putting 4200mah or so back in a pack when charging after a run. I have my low voltage cutoff set to 3.4 volts per cell just to be on the safe side, but I normally don't even run them down that low. Most of the time, when I start charging they are showing 7.2-7.3 volts. I am putting 4700-4850 mah back in them every time though. This has been verified with different chargers and battery testers so it's not just a weird charger reading. So far I have not seen any issues with the packs, but something just doesn't sound right. Any thoughts?

I've never seen anything like "only put x amount back in". I've had packs that I ran and charged and it put more back in than the listed capacity. You're worrying over nothing. 3.4v is a good setting for the LVC and whatever goes back in, goes back in.

yes Just charge them up , its best to use a peak detecting charger and let them peak out.

You are doing the right thing , not letting them discharge too low.

Are you using a charger with a balance function?

Thanks for the info guys. I am using a balance charger and balance them every time they are charged. I'll have check on the peak detection. I have a high end charger so I'm sure it can do that if it isn't already.

You have nothing further to check. As long as it is a LiPo charger and you are balancing, just continue what you are doing. No need to make it hard.
