Default Extending antenna wire inside TX?

Greetings, all! I recently opened up my FlySky 3b and promptly popped the antenna off the TX board. To make this easier in the future, can I add stranded wire extensions to each leg of the antenna coax and then attach the extensions to the board, or will that mess up the antenna length/tuning/impedance?

Disclaimer: I'm a *mechanical* engineer and think electricity is magic; please use short words

TIA,
Robert

No. You should be able to find a wifi anttena from a laptop that is longer. It will work.
