Default Lipo battery problem

That is the battery that i am having problems with. i bought this used from a guy on here and he said it was working properly when he had it.

now that i have it, i can't get it to work.

1) i charged it like it is suppsed to...2s 7.4v....
2) battery begins to charge like it is supposed to....cuts off about 5 min into charge and says its Full
**i plug it up to my traxxas velineon esc and it powers up like it is supposed to....green like comes on i can steer the truck all day long..but as soon as i hit the gas or brake..RED light on the esc and nothing works

3)i thought that battery doesn't charge up so i discharge it...says volts are too low to charge. but why does it charge up so quickly??

my question is...is this battery junk..and just throw it away? or is it saveable?

btw..i have another of the same battery...was charging fine but i heard a pop and the case split....im guessing the battery is junk...

so i bought 2 batteries from this guy that are both hopefully not junk

thanks for you input!

what charger are you using? what's the voltage per cell? maybe it's your esc that has a problem...

you can check it on your charger...you should connect your balance plug to the charger.. at full charge..your battery should be 4.2V per cell or 8.4V total...

Turn off the lipo cut on the VXL. It might be detecting as a 3s.

Discharge the pack a little so its below 8.4v

Suggest you get a new charger if that one is over-charging your packs

A fully charged 2s pack should be no higher than 8.4v

Cheers
