It would be nice to have programmable Bluetooth enabled on radios. You could get info dumped in your ear based on parameters you select.
I know buzzers and vibrations are nice which we already have but sometimes I find it hard to recognize them in a race. Who am I kidding I probably wouldn't hear the Bluetooth yelling in my ear that my motor is overheating til it smoked itself. Just a thought though. .

This is a good idea I must say. I'd buy a new M11x that has bluetooth, lol.

Touch screen radios would be a nightmare in offroad racing. Think about how many smears you get from just normal use on smart phones and tablets. Now couple that with dirt, nitro fuel, grease, and whatever else used in offroad rc. Your screen would be nearly impossible to see. Just my thought.

If you want to see better radio systems at cheaper prices the answer is simple, the process will be a bit more complicated. Get several million more folks involved with RC. Give manufacturers a big target to shoot at.

Next you will be asking for the radios to use the Android operating system so you can play Angry Birds while waiting for the marshall to get your car.

Yeah, no, thanks. I have a wife, mother, and a boss already.

I really like the Radiopost transmitter. I don't have any reason to dump my trusty decade old FASST 3PK, but if I did, I think that's what I'd buy.

This.. I spent 175 on a Futaba 3pm-x Fasst system. I saw no advantage to go to a more expensive radio. I already have the response time with fasst, the range is kill nothing is better. All i need is epa's and a couple of other things.

We just had a local guy switch from the 3pm-x to a KO EX-5 UR. After having driven his WGT, before and after the switch, I can attest to the fact that the KO offers a much faster response rate.

I so can not wait until this KO radio hits US shores. I'm buying one with full option. Been a KO fan ever since KO came out, guess I'll die being a KO fan.

Once I set up the radio I never look at the screen while racing.

Pretty much no one looks at the screen when you are racing. You look at the screen when you are setting up the radio, or making adjustments during practice.

I understand the "want" for the next thing in line, but i cant help but think how damned good you young -uns have it..Especially when I think back to 1988 and the first NEW radio I bought ..Futaba magnum sport.had trims and D/R and that was IT..no EPA, no expo, just the basics..75mhz AM so it glitched like none other, a definite lag to the signal, and still cost me $100.00.
Be thankfull you have it so good
