Default Receiver interference problem

All,

I just rebuilt an old TC3 for VTA. It looks like it's going to be a solid car, but when I began to do some initial testing I found a strange issue.

I am using the Team Associated XP3-SS Transmitter and TRS401-ss receiver. The reciever is mounted on top of a SAVOX servo.

The transmitter and receiver are paired, but the receiver intermittently drops out of lock (light on receiver changes from green to red). It only drops for 1-2 seconds and then the light turns green again and I regain control.

I have no idea what's causing the problem (only guess is maybe interference from the servo) ..... does anyone have any insight on how to troubleshoot this issue or what the problem might be?

Thanks!

Savox servos are very power hungry. You need to run a cap on the speedo and one in the reciever to keep the voltage up so it wont cut out.
