Default Tekin RS problem

I have a 1/12 scale car that i have a Tekin RS esc mounted in. Everything was finewhen I ws running a 6v 220 Mah rx battery into the battery slot on the esc.

I then got Novak Smart Boost to get rid in order to eliminate the extra battery and power everything off the main cell. I wired it into the car and now i cant get the motor to run. The steering servo works. The Novak Smart boost comes to life operates properly with no errors. However the Tekin esc after turning on the power blinks all three lights red and no throttle. I have checked all connections. I reset the esc and recalibrated the radio with the esc. Still no motor. I even changed the sensor wire to see if that did anything.

Any advise?

You may want to return your new Novak SmartBoost to us to be replaced by our tiny, improved Novak 1S LiPo Booster Module: Product #5477.

Our SmartBoost features one cell cutoff that sometimes interfered with the low voltage operation of the RS/RSPro ESC under heavy loads.

Most escs have lipo cut-off circuitry built-in today. When we released our SB, there were still many controllers---both brush and brushless---that did not include the cut-off circuitry.

We have our new 1S Booster now.
