Default I connected my radio backwards ...

And it doesn't turn on anymore. It doesn't have the infamous burnt electronics smell either.

This a Futaba 2.4ghz 3pm which I converted to 3s lipo. I made the mistake of plugging the battery in backwards (before my first cup of coffee) and now it doesn't turn on.

Is there a fuse or diode I just need to replace on the inside? Anyone have any experience w/ this?

Every JR I've ever had uses a fuse that pops when you do something like that. I'd bet there's one in there. Not sure where. Someone may have better insight on that if you want to wait for a reply. I'd personally just pull it open and look. Your warranty is void at this point anyway I'm sure. Radios aren't too scary inside. Just don't keep pulling if you feel resistance to taking something apart.

Thanks for the response. I hope there is a fuse in there. I will definitely pull it apart eventually, I'm hoping someone else already has and can help prevent me from doing something even worse.

I opened up the radio and I could see nothing visible wrong or any kind of fuse. I measured the voltage at a couple of places but it's hard to know what I'm looking at. Anyone have any ideas?

Actually, the more I think about it... does that radio have a 'standard' servo-style connector? If so, then even if you plug it in backwards it should not hurt anything. It should just not turn on.

If that's the case, I wonder if maybe you damaged the connector or the battery is just dead?

Either way, there should be a fuse somewhere in there. I'd be amazed if there wasn't. Some of the JR aircraft transmitters have them soldered in where you have to use a desoldering wick or bulb to make it come off.

Did you every find and answer to your question? I think I just did the same thing with my 3PM - reversed battery polarity w. the power switch on.
