Switching to Lipo?

The one you have pictured says it works for 3v per cell for either a 2S or 3S. If I have some I plan on running 1S, can I still use it?
This is all new to me. thanks for your time and paitence

No.....this type alarm plus into the balance plug on the battery. 1S doesn't have a balance plug.
For running 1S, you'd better plan on using an esc that has a built in cutoff, or be very conscious about your run time - like using a stopwatch and knowing what kind of mah/min you're consuming. If you're new, this method is prob not practical.
