Futaba R603FS receiver info

I just picked up a futaba but i’m trying to understand what the bottom pins do on this receiver.

The RS232 port is for programming at the factory, it's not used by the end user.

Can we still use this port for transponder or extra cap?

i would not do that for the transponder i would use port 3 if it open if you plug in to that and fry it the replacement will not be coverd under warrinty
