revtech help!

i just got this revtech motor that got burnt up and i dont know what happened but was wondering how to fix it, the stator has solder coming out the side of a hole just wondering if i could replace the stator ? or if i could replace it with a d3 stator?

Did you run it with boost? I herd they dont do well on boost. But i think you have to get the same strator that is in the it now to replace.

Calling them directly would be your best bet. You must have got that motor wayyyy to hot if there is solder coming out the can:eek: No other way that could happen besides extreme heat. When a motor gets that hot, the rotor is weekened as well (looses its magnetism). Probably better off turning that motor into a paper wieght and repacing it instead of spending $40 on a rotor and still having a motor that is not running at its full potential.

Keep an eye on temps, expecially with a new motor. Never above 160F. Get yourself a little mini tempgun. Can be had for $20 or so.

We actually got this motor from someone, was hoping it might be salvageable but it doesn't look that way thanks for the info. It was still hot when we pulled it out and it had been awhile since he ran it.
