Need help choosing radio
#1
Right now I have a Traxxas 2.4ghz radio. I think its time for an upgrade as I have 3 rc's that I would like to control from one radio. what Inexpensive radio would have at least 10 model memory and good features for racing?
I was looking in more high brands (airtronics,Futaba,etc...)
No Flyskys

I have a fly sky gt3b, but I have had alot problems with it. The steering trim is all screwed up. If I center it then turn to the left, it doesn't center. I know its not the servo as I have tried 2 different servos with the same results. Yes the Traxxas Link can have more model memory, but for me I don't want to pull out the manual everytime I wanna switch rc's. Plus I want something with a screen

I just sold my FlySky GT3B but to be honest, I didn't have a good reason to sell it. It worked great and the range was amazing. Anyways, I just bought a Futaba 4PL on here and it is pretty awesome. The trigger is smoth, the wheel feels amazing, and it has every setting you could want. It also has 4 channel receivers so you can use it for crawlers if you're into that. It also has a lap timer/counter which is pretty awesome.

I went through the same process some time ago, trying to decide on a radio which wouldn't break the bank but have some nice high end features.
I bought myself a Spektrum DX3C system which comes with a SR300 3ch receiver. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Surface-Radio
The receiver is small enough to fit into a TA05 between a standard size servo and motor. The transmitter has 20 model memory and all the usual stuff like epa, str & thr rates and exponential. Additional SR300 receivers are $50 each. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rface-Receiver
So far I'm loving the radio for it's light weight (only 4AA batteries), compact size, features, 3 different pistol grip sizes and adjustable wheel tension.
Cheers

The nice thing about the 4PL is that it doesn't break the bank, RX are reasonable and it has many of the features that the 3PK and 4PK radios do. It would be the only radio I would buy under $250.
