What you want is a 'resting' lipo cell voltage of 3.7v/cell when you're through running. That's usually close when your lvc is set to 3.4v/cell. Another way to tell is how much goes back into the lipo when you recharge it. You don't want to see more than 80% of capacity going back in on recharging, so for a 5000mah lipo, you want your lvc set so you are not putting more than 4000mah back into the lipo on recharge.
