Com Lathe power
#1
So i am old school and running brushed motors for now.
I need a power supply for my com lathe. I know the standard is 4 Sub C nicads or nimh making 4.8v. But i dont have any sub C's hanging around.
Another option is finding a power supply that puts out 5v anyone know of a CHEAP one.
Also i know some old chargers had a motor break in or run function anyone know a good 115v one?
If anyone can help me out with some suggestions? Anyone have old sub c packs they dont want anymore?
Thank you all

I used to run my comm lathe on the motor run in function of my duratrax ICE charger. You can usually pick them up for $40-45 shipped used on these forums. You could dial the voltage to whatever worked well for you.

The ice would be one option. Trouble is i would have to buy a power supply as well because i think the ICE is 12v?
Now i am looking at $80? That is getting close a a brush-less set up.
Are there any old or new AC/DC chargers that have this motor run in feature? It does not have to be LIPO or even NImH as i already have a Lipo charger.
