Default TP610 AC/DC & TP820CD

I would like to express my concerns with the quality of parts for these chargers.

I purchased The 610 AC/DC a year ago. Just the other day the output circuitry failed. At the meantime before I send back the charger to TP I bought the 820CD flagship charger. Once I got it I began to bech test the charger. Everything worked perfectly untill I used the storage functions for both ports. While discharging I had smelled something burning while getting an error coming from port 2. I immeditaly unhooked both batteries to inspect. Everything was ok except the burnt electronic smell.

I used some old packs to try again and everything seems fine and works perfectly. But to be safe I will send It in for repair.

This cant be coincedence that these two chargers failed within a week. Im dissapointed.......

On the 820, what firmware was on the charger, what discharge rate, were the batteries fully charged, and what size were they?

It's pretty well documented that the 820 doesn't discharge at it's max rating without going into thermal shutdown.

Hasn't been a problem on mine, mainly because I only use the storage option on discharged packs, at the end of the race day.

V 3.5 .TP5300 packs. Discharged from peak voltage to 3.8v per cell at. 3.5amps each.

I am no where near the 100watt discharge rating. Any clue as to what burnt? I dont wnna be down two chargers if I have to send both in.
