Ive heard bad things on Novak but want to give them a shot |

Sensored Suppose to be smoother and no cogging issues. Boost is just like a timing advance makes everything run a little faster.

I say traxxas. I have used LRP,NOVAK,Tekin in my SC and found I get longer run times and cooler running with VXL- 3S ESC.

NOT TEKIN
I HAVE A TEKIN RS AND RS PRO. BOTH WERE PURCHASED BRAND NEW. INTALLED THE RS PRO IN A SERPENT S411 SEDAN. THE PRO CRAPPED OUT FIRST. SO I SWITCHED IT TO THE REGULAR RS. BOTH DID THE SAME EXACT THING. I ALSO SWITCHED MOTORS AND SENSOR WIRES. (I'VE BEEN IN R/C FOR 15 YEARS SRAIGHT) BUT ANYWAY, ITS LIKE THEY WERE RUNNING SENSOR LESS. I SENT BOTH UNITS INTO TEKIN, AND THEY SENT BRAND NEW ONES BACK. SO I INSTALLED THE RS PRO BACK IN MY TOURING CAR, USED IT FOR ONE WEEK, WON THE MAIN THAT WEEK SINCE ITS ONLY THE SECOND RACE OF THE INDOOR SEASON, AND YESTERDAY IN PRACTICE IT BLIPPED ON THE STRIGHT AWAY, AND STARTED DOING THE SAME THING.
IM NOT DOING ANYTHING OUT OF THE NORM, AGAIN....IM NOT NEW AT THIS. NORMAL TIMING AND GEARING, INDOOR ON CARPET WITH A TOURING CAR. SO I SENT A REALLLLLLY CRAPPY MESSAGE TO TEKIN. I INSTALLED THE RS INPLACE OF THE RS PRO AND CHECKED THE MOTOR ON A HITECH MOTOR CHECKER, MOTOR IS NOT THE ISSUE. AND CAR WAS RUNNING FINE AGAIN. (SAME SENSOR WIRE) SENSOR WIRE IS NOT THE ISSUE EITHER)) IM STAYING AWAY FROM BUYING ANYMORE TEKIN. WHEN YOU SEND YOUR STUFF IN, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY WILL CHARGE YOU "BECAUSE THEY HANDLE TOO MANY ISSUE ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS" . THE FORM YOU SEND IN REQUIRES YOU TO PUT YOUR CARD INFO ON IT SO THEY CAN JUST CHARGE YOU WHATEVER. WHATS THAT TELL YA? MAYBE THIS HELPS. IM GOING TO SEND MY DAMAGED UNIT IN, AND SWITCH TO SPEED PASSION OR LRP. (IF I CAN GET SPEED PASSION) LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE COMING OUT WITH A UPDATE TO THE GT2. |

You don't need a RS Pro for a 17.5 You can save some $, size, and weight by going with a regular RS.

..wow that's scarrry to know I'm really thinking of getting the tekin rs pro because of the hotwire software...also I know castle makes the castlelink software also so idk.... but I never really hear anything negative about the tekin system at my local track it looks like 90% of the people run the rs pro....and never say anything negative so it looks like more Google search for me...lol.
