Default What LiPos are you using?

I'm asking everyone what they're using for LiPos, reason I'm asking is because I'm in the market for some LiPos for my sc10 4x4, currently setup with a rx8 and a pro4 4600kv, so i'm trying to get other peoples opinions for batteries, several have recommended going with Gens Ace..help!

I use to run the $100 name brand lipos but now only use Gens ace. Perform just as well and a fraction of the cost.

2 gens ace (4,000 and a 5,000), 2 venom (4,000 and a 3,200), and a blue lipo (3,300)....
The gens ace are the better of the bunch. In performance and cost.

While I could debate you in what constitutes as a drug, I won't, this isn't the forum to discuss it but if you wish to further discuss it feel free to PM me.

Second, it seems that Gen Aces are the preferred batteries, guess I need to check into them and see what kind of goodness to come up with

I had someone PM me about the 50c, he wanted $50 each. Just not sure I'd want to pay over retail for batteries that are used.

I wouldn't either, I bought two 40C's and love them, then after about 12 weeks they 50c's were back in stock, picked up 2 of them as well and I'm set probably for quite some time.

Good luck!

Really? Now thats kinda lame. and im Afghanistanimation.

OT:
Im running 2s1p 5000mah 40c Gens Ace in my 1/8 truggy. Great power on these so far. Only a few cycles but i would definitely buy them again. Probably the 50c 5000 next time or the Turnigy 5300mah 55c.

Get the Gens Ace eri3fOg. They are well made batteries.

Let me tell you the difference from my opinion. Not much. I have 3 gens ace 5000, 40c. 1 Excellion 6000, 60c, 1 Team Orion 6500 90c.

Here is the difference. I run in the Losi SCTE in my sig by the way. In a 5 minute heat you will not notice a difference. I suggest get 4 gens ace for the price of 1 of the others. I notice that the gens ace starts to lose a little of its punch right around the 7 minute mark. If your club runs 7 min. mains like a lot of groups are doing you should be fine. From the 7 to 10 min. mark I do notice a bit more punch and overall power with the Orion and the Excellion. Plus, I could not quite make a 10 min main with the Gens Ace, no problem with the Orion and Excellion. All in your budget, but I would start with Gens Ace and work your way up in the future!

It might be the charger I use, but I usually put 5400 in the Gens Ace if I run them down to LVC so they may be under rated.

your going to need atleast a 6000 mah battery for a 4x4sc. If you on a budget i would go with a turnigy nano-tech 6000, or if you want to spend a little more id get the orion 6500 90c. I have had my fair share of gens ace packs, and they are awsome. They just need to make something bigger than a 5300 for these juice sucking 4x4 sc's.
