Default LRP 1S ESC

Hi all,

Of I'm after a 1/12 esc, can any of the lrp esc's run on 1s without needing an rx pack? So the esc somehow converts the voltage to power the rx/servo?

Can any esc's do this?

Never ran 1/12 before so not sure how it's all done!?

In fact, help in how boosters/rx packs work in elec would be much appreciated too!

I use the LRP SXX SS and it doesn't need a receiver pack whether you run 1 cell or 2 cell. All the receiver pack does is supply power to the receiver and servo. The main battery pack just powers your motor. Other esc's need the booster or receiver pack cause when running 1 cell, there's not enough voltage for servo and receiver to function properly. (5 volts min.) LRP has their stuff built in to run 1 or 2 cell with the use of these two products.

I don't know if the version 1 LRP's will run 1 cell w/out a booster or receiver pack but the SXX TC, SXX STOCK SPEC, SXX COMP ALL V2 will as they have 2 BEC's.

I just switched from the tekin rs to a sxx comp v2 in WGT and I love it. Super smooth and a much cleaner presentation!
