Setting better end points on servo

1 Attachment(s)
I had purchased this so i can set the end points a little further out to get more throw in steering.
Is it possible to make that adjustment.Someone who has used one may be able to advise.

Do think that will do what you are trying to achieve

That programmer will allow you to set a throw limit in the servo

It wont change the physical limit that your car hardware places on the servo travel

Cheers

Has some good info, yes I know it wasn't what you asked, but still useful....

Yes adding throw is one of the options in the software. It will let you go as far as just under 180 degrees on some servos IIRC. All this is assuming of course that the servo in question is a Hitec digital programmable.

Can you point out which part of the programing can i make that change.

Yeah, it's in the "resolution" setting. Default is "high", if you set it to "normal" it will increase the throw, then you can adjust the endpoints with the endpoint left and right slider. Again, this is assuming your particular servo will support this.

I'm using a hitec programmer on a hitec digital servo

Have used the programmer many times on planes to increase the trravel, have only used it to reduce the travel on surface vehicles. That way you get to make better use of the resolution of the radio on surface vehicles. What are you using it on that would need increased servo travel?

I can tell you this up front, read and understand the instructions before you start. It's not hard at all, but if you jump in not having a clue you will wind up with useless servo's if you don't know at least how to return them to factory settings.

ok since you found that what does dual rate do make it faster or what cause im lost with why you turn that all the way up?

I have the HPP 21+ and it's awesome to be able to center servos and set end points perfectly in the car with no radio. Plus I use the advanced features in my 79XX and 59XX servos. I also like the fact that it's a stand alone programmer and tester. It's a great tool that's worth every penny.
