Default Voltage Question

Hello

I recently installed a Novak Ballistic 8.5/Havoc 3s system in my Traxxas Slash. My receiver, a KO 210s 2.4ghz unit, is rated for 4.8 - 7.4 volts. My question: since the esc is rated for 3s (or 11.1 volts), am I able to use a 3s battery with the aforementioned receiver?

Thanks

Yes. This is because the the esc has a BEC ( battery eliminator circuit), which is basically a voltage step down. It take your battery's voltage and makes it a constant 3-6v at 3 amps. As long as you're using a battery that the esc is rated for it shouldn't have any problem powering your receiver and servo.
