Default Servo maintenance??

got a Savox 1256 for about 6 mos now and it just started making a new louder than normal noise. It sounds like the gears inside are touching something each rev (squeak-squeak-squeak). Is there something I can do to check it out? maybe open it and maybe clean inside or replace some parts?? thanks.

update: ok i just saw they sell the gear sets but manual is nowhere to be found

Do you run in dusty and/or wet conditions?

Sounds like the bearings need to be cleaned and lubed. Gears don't normally squeak. The gears might break and you get a crunchy sound, but not squeaking.

Open up the gear case, paying close attention to where everything goes, clean everything up with some plastic safe electronics cleaning spray, and re-assemble with some white lithium grease on the gears and bearings [a little goes a long way].

As long as the bearings can be cleaned and freed up, it should quiet down for you.

They servos are just naturally loud I've replaced my gears once due to hitting someone while turning and caused it to strip two teeth. My savox always has a squeaky hum to it
