Default Castle/Tekin

It seems lately ive had never ending issues with castle creations. I was running a MMP on my SCT friday at a practice (offroad) and something happened to where it makes my motor jitter and glitch and then after a second or two go back to full throttle. This has happened to two MMP's of mine. What is the issue, how can I prevent from doing this?

My other question is would if be best if I just completly said screw it with castle and went tekin? Ive heard alot of good things about tekin... I was thinking about running a Tekin RS with a trinity D3 motor?

Just trying to figure out what I keep doing to mess up MMP's and whats the best action to take at this point.

What radio system are you running ?

What servo are you running ?

Not uncommon for users of Castle ESC's to require a glitch buster style capacitor or external bec to support a high amp draw servo

Cheers

Well it was working fine for a few weeks and just started acting up Friday. Running a spektrum Sr3001t or 3100t whatever it is and an older Jr metal gear servo .

Is it a Telemetry receiver ?

If it is simply watch the indicated voltage on your transmitter screen as you rotate the servo through its range of travel fast a couple of times

If the voltage drops dramatically its an indicator that the ESC's internal bec is being loaded

Cheers

clean out the receiver . sounds like you got dust. and dust can do just what your talking about. 2nd put a novak cap in the bind port. 3rd make sure your adjustments on your steering is not maxed out. side to side. I had same problem. good luck. a cap and cleaning will fix this for you $9.00 and your good to go

But if it was in fact the receiver causing the problems wouldn't the problem continue to happen after I used my novak esc? I put a novak havoc in and it worked fine the rest of the day.

Not neccessarily, if the Havok's BEC is stronger. Different ESC's have varying qualities of BEC's, if the total amp draw of the system becomes too much for one ESC's circuit, then it will falter like you said, but a stronger one(higher output voltage & current) may keep everything working properly. But keep in mind I can't say for sure if that applies here because I really don't know much about Castle's ESC's, no idea what their BEC's put out, or how good they are(been a Novak & Tekin guy my whole 22 years as a racer)....

I was thinkng it could possibly be something to do with the bec because usually I'm just running dirt oval but since I ran off-road possibly the higher use of steering and throttle over loaded the system ? I'll try some stuff tonight and see.
