need thoughts on radio

I have had my orignal futaba 3pk for 10 years now and put 120 hours on it, but sad to say it finally died on me. So i am looking to order a new one tonight becuase the indoor season starts this coming friday. Couple of things, i like the high end radios and i do use almost all the features, and i race off road 2wd mod buggy and 2 and 4wd short course. So with this info what do you think is by far the absolute best radio out there right now.

I'm still usingf my old 3PK as a back up for my 3PKS both using Spektrum. Because I have over a dozen Spektrum receivers from over the years I went with the Spektrum DX3R Pro. It has most of the features I use, full backward compatibility with all the receivers and weighs a lot less for those long mains (got a bit of arthritis in the wrists).
My other choice was the 4PKS but that would require all new receivers (another $1,000.00) ouch!!!. I do like the 4PL but for my rock crawlers I use the 3PKS to control my MOA (the DX3R can't mix two ESCs).
I do like the feel of the DX3R a little better than the 4PKS and it cost only $300 whereas the 4PKS is $450 Ultimate Hobbies prices). That $150 is another receiver and/or a ESC.

Absolute best is probably the 4pks...although if you have a budget there are other options. Features wise a hacked GT3B is by far the best bang for the buck ($70 3- 8 channels, fixed expo/trim, aton of new features, click here)
If you want to stick to brand name, the dx3r pro will work great for go fasts, however isn't the choice of radio for crawling. And the 4PL is also a really decent radio but you won't be running FASST

Why not buy a new bare bones 3PKS? $200.00 minus the discount and free shipping.....
