Default balance board question

Just recently bought a hi-tech x2 charger. It came with 2 balance boards, 1 xh adaptor and 1 hp/pq adaptor. Can anyone tell me the diference or can I use both?
Thanks,

Umm, my guess is that you can use the XH board with XH taps/connectors and the hp/pq for hp/pq taps/connectors which is what adapters are for. So the answer is yes you can use both, one for each style of connector.

However, never seeing one of those chargers I would have to defer to the instruction manual as how to hook them up.

XH is the common Align style connector. PQ is the polyquest connector.

They both look exactly the same. Otherwise I would just use the one that fit my bat. I figured since they included 2 different types there must be a reason. The manual says nothing about the boards other than they are both included, but thanks for the suggestion, never would have thought of that all by myself.

Pin spacing may be the same, but they use slightly diff ways of insuring the male balance conn is correctly oriented in the board connection. You can prob force them together, but you'll wind up breaking pins after just a few charges. Then you have a ruined board and a lipo with a prob.

Get extra boards in the type you need.

Thanks for the help. Do you happen to know what type of plug the gens ace have. I looked on hobbypartz but it does not say anywhere that I could find. They both seem to fit and work fine but I def want to use the correct one.
thanks
