Exclamation Quick charging question.

I have a 80w charger. I want to know if this can charge a 4s lipo battery at 5a? Could it charge a 5s at 5a? If not what could it charge them at. Any idea for a 6s as well? Any imput would be great!

It takes more watts than the charger has to do what you want - current is limited by charger to stay under its power limit so you'll only get what was posted above for charge rates.

Get a charger with more power and a high enough max charge rate.

Got to love the crap manuals from some company's. Here's a link to help you understand watt requirements for charging http://sites.google.com/site/tjinguy...e-for-charging

I don't have the 680 manual, but the AC6 manual, next to the last page (pg 36) lists the charge and discharge current for 1S thru 6S lipo batts.

The AC6 is 50watts so this wouldn't apply to the 680 (80watts), but check toward the end of your 680 manual and see if it doesn't have the same listing, just for your 80watt charger.
