Has anyone done Futaba's upgrade to a new fasst system and get Futaba's credit coupon for Futaba merchandise? I was wanting to get the 4PKS thinking it would be a good deal to get the $150 coupon that I could use to get servo's or other things. The upgrade form mentions brand names but no model numbers that can be traded in. Also says it needs to be a 2.4ghz spread spectrum. How do you know if it is spread spectrum or are all 2.4 systems spread spectrum.

You can email them to find out if your specifc tx/rx is in the rebate. I did not think the rebate applied to additional accessories, I thought it was for "gear" such as shirts, a chair, umbrella or whatever else they had on their site.

I just did the Futaba trade up program thing. It was pretty slick. There are some very specific instructions on the form you mail in. It has to be a surface radio traded in for a surface radio. There is a very specific list of brands that qualify, model # doesn't matter. Spektrum & Airtronics are a couple I remember. Traxxas radios and rtr radios were not on the list even though a lot of those are 2.4. You have to send in both the Tx and a compatible Rx. And it has to be 2.4ghz, regardless if it's called Spread Spektrum, FHSS, whatever.
Mail it in and a couple weeks later I got a gift voucher from Futaba that was made out to me and secifically listed the hobby shop where I bought it. The voucher is only redeemable at that store. The voucher is good for anything Futaba. Another radio, servos, Rx, whatever you want. Mine was $150 for the 4pks upgrade and it damn near got me two free 614 Rx's. Pretty cool.

Over the last month I've send two e-mails to Futaba asking a question about their excepted manufactures and I have never got a reply back. Not to reply with even a "no" or "sorry", this is just BAD customer service. It's making me question even getting a Futaba radio if this is the kind of service I can expect.
