Default Airtronics MT-4 3.8 Volt warning?

Okay i was driving my Losi Ten SCTE for about 8-10 minutes and got 3.8 volt warning on my Radio. I am using a Gens Ace 2S 5000MaH 40C Lipo battery and have the Savox 1256TG high tourque digital servo and Tekin RX8 ESC. Should this warning be coming up this soon? 8 minutes? I figured i'd get more time out of it then that. Is there anything i can do to get longer run times? or is this what i am stuck with?

what radio is it? you should not be getting 3.8v from a 2s... at a rough guess your lipo is fine and the 3.8v is the MT4 batteries being flat. Change the AAs in your transmitter.

You mean the batteries i have in the Radio? They are regular Double A batteries but they are brand new and only have run the truck through to batteries. Raddio is an Airtronics MT-4.

you may need to add a capacitor to your receiver. because you are using a high powered servo you might be getting brown outs. the capacitor will store a small amount of power that will keep the receiver from browning out. I run ebuggy and use that same radio, I have turned off the telemetry, I dont see the point. Hopefully this solves your problem.

10mins or so is the norm with 5,000mah lipo with your setup. I've got the tekin sc4x 4.5, with rx8 on a sc10 4x4, same battery, I get about 12-15mins (On the track) before the 3.8v warning.

Then the power will reduce by about half...just enough to make it back to pit.

It doesnt sound like you set-up your Tx as 3.8V is the default for the voltage alert.

Depending on what you set your ESC and feel comfortable for your lipo cut-off, you could change it to 3.2 - 3.4V or whatever you want. Or just clear it with the cancel button. Or you could just ignore it.
3.8V remaining is quite a bit of runtime left IMO and really, the Tx is reading just receiver voltage, not pack voltage. Measure what voltage your lipo has when this alarm comes on, it would interesting to see if any difference is seen.

Not sure what GBA is saying 10 min is the norm for a 5000Mah lipo or power is reduced in half as I find both those statements untrue. No reason you shouldn't be able to get 20-30 min runtime with a 5000Mah lipo unless we're talking flat out full throttle or you're geared way off. As far as power goes, it does reduce nearing cut-off but 1/2? Are we talking Nihm here?

Im having the same problem!!! Every thing all new radio, recover, tekin rx8, tekin pro 4, servox servo. All in a new Losi ten scte. My MT-4 is saying low voltage on the car and its st 8.2 volatile at battery and speed controler. And I eaven checked voltage at the base of the pins on the rx8 thinking may be I had a bad solder connection. I just don't know what else I can do???

The voltage that you're seeing is that of the bec into the receiver. If you can adjust the voltage out of your receiver that will help, and/or change the alarm level.
